scheduled for this Sunday at the Studio at high noon. All members may

Have hardly had time to catch any shows this month. I did see DEAD MAN
WALKING with a star turn performance from Lisa Mallette. Academy Awards
next week and I have only seen THE BLIND SIDE and PRECIOUS. Too much self
life.
I would really like to see CURTAINS this final weekend in Walnut Creek
and SPELLING BEE is at Foothill. LADY BE GOOD will be opening next weekend
at Tabard and SWEET CHARITY will premiere at Saratoga Civic. on March 13.
URINETOWN at Sunnyvale has been cast and has begun rehearsals. The
cast includes David Mister, Carly Honfi, Molly Thornton, Michael Johnson,
Tim Reynolds, Dave Leon, Chuck Manthe, Annie Donahey, Matt Tipton, Breigh Zack,
Karyn Rondeau, Shawn Miller, Braden Taylor, Brian Palac, Anthony Oliveras,
Maggie Velasquez, Melissa Palmieri, and Kimberly Kay. Lots of good people
for an April opening.
Other casting news: Kari Darner, Jade Shojaee and Noel Anthony are in
LADY BE GOOD at the 42nd Moon. Popular show this year. It opens in late
March.
There will be a memorial service for Richard Nelson on March 6 at 2:00
p.m. at the Gilroy Prebyterian Church.
BROADWAY NEWS: A new Sondheim Review with Barbara Cook and Vanessa
Williams, Denzel in FENCES, Scarlett Johanson in VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE. Sean
Hayes in PROMISES, PROMISES. Would sure love to go for a quick visit.
