Back row, from left: Grady Sanders (crew), Tim Harris (Caesar Rodney), Stephen Wathen (Set Designer), Kelly Lotz (Joseph Hewes), Bev Hansberry (Thomas McKean). Front row, from left: Gwendolyne Wagner (Andrew McNair), Ashley Faus (Leather Apron), Terri Weitz (Benjamin Franklin)

Members of the cast of 1776 rest during a break while building Independence Hall, Philadelphia — the site of the Second Congressional Congress and of our upcoming musical production. 1776 puts a human face on the pages of history as we see the men and women behind the national icons: proud, frightened, uncertain, witty, charming, and ultimately noble figures determined to do the right thing for a fledgling nation. Note that our production features gender-blind casting, all the better to bring you the best talents from around the Bay Area.
