Sept. 22 to Oct. 13, 2018. Book by Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee. Music and Lyrics by Jerry Herman. Based on the Novel by Patrick Dennis and the Play “Auntie Mame.”

“Life is a banquet, and most poor sons-of-bitches are starving to death!”  That’s the motto of Mame Dennis, one of musical theatre’s all-time greatest heroines, in this brassy, tuneful, hilarious, and touching adaptation of Patrick Dennis’s bestseller, “Auntie Mame.” When bohemian socialite Mame suddenly finds herself the sole guardian of Patrick, an orphaned nephew, her life takes a surprising turn. As the two weather the Great Depression’s well as Mame’s many fascinations and adventures, she discovers what it means to truly care for someone she loves. Jerry Herman’s celebrated score includes the rousing title number, plus “Open a New Window,” “If He Walked into My Life,” “We Need a Little Christmas,” “Bosom Buddies” and “That’s How Young I Feel.” With its spirit, humor, class, and wit, “Mame” is an eternally captivating masterpiece of musical theatre. Jan. 26 to Feb. 16, 2019. Music and Lyrics by Roger Miller. Book by William Hauptman. Adapted from the Novel by Mark Twain.

Twain’s timeless classic sweeps us down the mighty Mississippi as the irrepressible Huck Finn must fake his own death to escape trouble in his home town. Huck joins up with another on the run: Jim, a slave, attempting to escape to freedom. Their adventures along the way are hilarious, suspenseful, and heartwarming. Your favorite characters from the novel spring to life; the Widow Douglas and her stern sister; the uproarious King and Duke, who may or may not be as harmless as they seem; Huck’s partner in crime, Tom Sawyer; and of course their rowdy gang of pals. Propelled by an award-winning score from Roger Miller, the king of country music, this jaunty journey ran for over 1,000 performances on Broadway and swept the 1985 Tony Awards to win Best Musical, Best Book, and Best Original Score. Don’t miss this brilliantly theatrical celebration of Americana. MORE INFO

May 18 to June 8, 2019. Book by Richard Morris and Dick Scanlan. New Music by Jeanine Tesori. New Lyrics by Dick Scanlan. Original Story and Screenplay by Richard Morris for the Universal Pictures film.

The winner of six Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Thoroughly Modern Millie was the 2002 season’s most awarded new show on Broadway! Based on the 1967 Academy Award-winning film, Thoroughly Modern Millie takes you back to the height of the 1920s Jazz Age in New York City, when “moderns,” including a flapper named Millie Dillmount, were bobbing their hair, raising their hemlines, entering the workforce, and rewriting the rules of love. Millie has carefully calculated romantic plans to find the perfect, successful husband, but an unexpected meeting with penniless Jimmy Smith might just change all that. Filled with dancing flappers, dashing leading men, and a dragon lady of a villainess that you’ll love to hate, “Thoroughly Modern Millie” is perfectly constructed madcap merriment. The score includes notable favorites like “Forget About the Boy”; “I Turned the Corner”; “Gimme, Gimme”; and of course the toe-tapping title tune. MORE INFO

The concert will be packed with familiar songs from shows of the 90s, as well as some “undiscovered gems” that just might become your new favorites. With musical direction by Brad Handshy, the concert is performed by many of SBMT’s best-loved vocalists, and includes over two dozen outstanding songs that highlight the bounty of Broadway musicals of the 1990s.
