Toasting the terrific cast of Mame
The musical Mame traces its origins back to 1955 when Patrick Dennis published the novel Auntie Mame. The book became a Broadway play the next year, a movie two years after that, and by 1966 it was given a wonderful score by Broadway legend Jerry Herman (Hello Dolly, Mack and Mabel, and later, La Cage Aux Folles) and was back on Broadway again.
